Summary

It is the goal of KAYD Home Care to provide person-centered supports, empowering them to make choices and be independent while ensuring their health and safety. The DSP position requires the ability for staff to complete shift requirements and follow the individual’s Overall Service Plan (OSP) without direct supervision.

Responsibilities of a DSP Employed with KAYD HOME CARE

• Provide person-centered supports according to the individual’s Overall Service Plan and agency policy.
• Attend and remain current with all state and agency required trainings.
• Support individuals to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
• Support individuals with medication administration based on the individual’s plan and agency policy.
• Provide necessary personal cares with dignity and respect in a way that enhances the independence and self-satisfaction of each individual.
• Provide transportation to and from appointments, social events, community activities, and other obligations.
• Support individuals to make healthy choices during meal planning, shopping and meal preparation.
• Complete all required shift documentation including but not limited to ISP data, MARs, GERs and time sheets.
• Respond promptly to any contact by administration through texting, email, and phone calls.
• Assist individuals to check mail and turn into office any items that the individual may need assistance with.
• Reliable attendance for entire scheduled shift.
• Additional duties as assigned

• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must pass background check
• Must have reliable vehicle
• Must have valid driver’s license and automobile insurance

Job Description

In this role, you will work as a Part-time QSP Aid providing support services to individuals with disabilities in the Bismarck/Mandan ND area. Your responsibilities will include assisting clients with daily activities, providing personal care, implementing care plans, and ensuring the overall well-being and safety of those under your care. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of others and help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Providing companionship and emotional support to patients
• Providing light housekeeping, doing laundry, cooking meals, shopping,
• Assist in transferring the person
• Provide non-medical transportation
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in patient’s condition to the supervisor

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities
